The Professional . Program is the second phase of the Pre-Dental Hygiene program and graduates students with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
Graduates must hold a credential as a Registered Dental Hygienist to practise in Ontario. In the final level of the program, students apply to the National Dental Hygiene Certification Board (NDHCB) to write the national exam upon graduation. Successful candidates are then eligible to apply for registration with the dental hygiene regulatory body in Ontario, the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
Will I have an opportunity to work part-time during the program?
Yes however, because this is a time-intensive, rigorous, one-year program, we do not recommend working more than one or two days a week.
See amazing teeth feats, marvel at George Washington's choppers (find out if they were ever made of wood), sing along to vintage toothpaste commercials and discover fascinating exhibitions that encourage good oral health habits and celebrate the heritage and future of dentistry.
